Funding

We estimate the total capital cost of the project will be in the region of £180,000 - 190,000.

The project would be funded by grants that are currently available for improving community facilities and improving accessibility, from a range of bodies both local and national.

There will also be an opportunity for parishioners to buy shares in the CBS, or to make pledges or gifts. The volunteers all give their time for free.

Funding has also been pledged by local councillors who have discretional funding for good causes.

To date, the value of grants, gifts, pledges and contributions in kind the project has received amounts to approximately £10,000, plus an offer of up to a further £10,000.

The next round of funding applications will require the detailed design to be completed and a detailed cost plan to be produced so that the application is made for the right amount of money. ‘Match funding’ will be an important part of the process and the team has experience in this process.
